ABOUT
Welcome to Griffin Lodge, a family home turned into a luxury 5 bedroom 5 bathroom holiday house in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, a stones throw from the beautiful coastal town of Southwold and the quaint market towns of Halesworth and Bungay. Griffin Lodge also has a separate downstairs play room for the kids and a play castle with slide in the fully enclosed garden. We also have lots of extras you can add to make your stay extra special, we have a Chef that can come and cook for you in the house or drop off meals for you, you can book a massage or book a yoga session that is if you can drag yourself away from the hot tub
We always include a generous welcome hamper full of local produce so there will be milk in the fridge (and a bottle of fizz) a freshly baked Victoria sponge cake, cookies, crisps, bread and jam and of course plenty of tea and coffee.

OUR ROOMS
We have 5 ensuite bedrooms in total, We have 2 super king size bedrooms one of which is downstairs (both of these can be turned into twin rooms on request) one of them has a day bed that can be made up as a single bed and we have 3 king size ensuite bedrooms. In total the house comfortably sleeps 11, we also have a travel cot that can be set up on request.

OUR SERVICES
We have a wonderful private hire Chef you can book at Griffin Lodge and she also makes the most fabulous breakfast hampers that can be dropped off ready for your arrival or at any other point during your stay.
Garden
Step out through the French windows on to the patio with seating and BBQ area, you will also find tucked away behind the ferns nestled in tranquil corner the luxurious Hot tub. There is a kids castle with slide on the lawn and plenty of space to kick a ball around.
Hot Tub
The hot tub is tucked away in a tranquil corner behind the ferns. The perfect place to relax. Our hot tub is drained down, cleaned and refilled for every new set of guests.
Free Wifi
There is free wifi thought the house. There is also Apple TV, Netflix and Disneys plus.
Massage
Why not book a massage while you are staying at griffin lodge ? the playroom can easily be turned into a treatment room and Karen or Wendy our fully trained therapists are available for a range of treatments including reflexology.
In house dining
Perhaps treat yourself and book our Chef Toni to come and cook for you while you are on holiday, she offers anything from grazing boxes to Sunday roasts to 3 course dinners.

THINGS TO DO
Vineyard Tour
Flint Vineyard is a 30 mins drive from griffin lodge, Flint has several award winning wines and the tour is great fun, they offer a fantastic 15mile lunch , where all the produce used is local and sourced within 15 miles of the vineyard.

Cultural Sites
So many choices, from Norwich with its fantastic Castle museum to Woodbridge with is beautiful waterfront and the home of Sutton Hoo, then there is Framlingham castle too, all are well worth a visit.
Market Towns
Halesworth is your nearest market town with some fantastic independent shops, cafes and restaurants, its less than a 10 min drive from the house. Market day is Wednesday.
Bungay , Beccles and Harleston also have a lot to offer, Bungay market day is Thursday. Beccles is Friday. Southwold is Mondays and Thursdays.
Go Ape Thetford
Take a trip to Thetford forest and swing from the tree tops at Go Ape or jump on an off road Segway and take a tour of the forest. You can even hunt a Gruffalo ! There are also some great bike tracks around the forest.
Birds Safari
RSPB Minsmere is a fantastic place for adults and kids, you can watch birds, take photos, pond dip, dismantle owls pellets or book onto the dawn chorus tour.Its also a beautiful place to go for a walk.

Boat Hire
Beccles is a beautiful place to hire a day boat and play on the river, Hippersons Boat yard can hire you an electric cruiser or kayaks , you can head down the beautiful river Waveney towards Geldeston and stop at the Geldeston locks pub for lunch before heading back with the flow of the river.
